New Music Round-Up, July 29

Check out this dope video of Neon Hitch covering Wiz Khalifa’s “On My Level,” set amongst a gritty black and white NYC backdrop.  If you haven’t already, also take a listen to her first single “Bad Dog,” a taste of what you can expect from her forthcoming album Beg, Borrow and Steal.

Holy Ghost! are ready to kick off an extended touring schedule for the next few months and what better way to say bon voyage than by sharing their track “Some Children” featuring the lord of Yacht Rock, Mr. Michael McDonald. The track is available to fans for an email swap or a “like” on Facebook, which can be done HERE.

Sunnyside Records is set to release the latest outing from critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Alyssa Graham. The Lock, Stock & Soul EP was produced by Grammy winner Craig Street and will be released on August 23.

Following a two-year hiatus Boulder’s Rose Hill Drive returns as a quartet, breaking with their power trio roots for the release of Americana on their newly formed Slow and Shirley Records July 12. The band is currently on tour with Stone Temple Pilots

Fall On Your Sword’s debut LP, the soundtrack to the Sundance award winning film Another Earth is out now and the 12″ featuring “The First Time I Saw Jupiter” and “Rhoda’s Theme” extended remixes is also out this week.

Set to release their sophomore album Everything’s Amazing And Nobody’s Happy on September 27th, Candy Hearts have recently announced a handful of tour dates with Mixtapes, as well as a few solo shows, which includes the Kind Of Like Records Showcase on August 8 in Brooklyn, NY at The Archeron. My M.O. is set to release their full length album, Bonfire, via Unemployable Music on iTunes August 23rd, (Pre-orders available now). The album combines dreamy, pop-oriented arrangements, experimental headiness with an array of international flavors.

Check out the video premiere of "Rise Above 1" by Reeve Carney featuring Bono and The Edge!

Directed by Aaron Platt & Joseph Toma and shot in New York City, the video includes a look into the making of the Broadway musical SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark, including Reeve Carney training for his roles as Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

The single, produced by Alex Da Kid is available on the album, Music From SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark out now on Interscope.

Thrice is celebrating the September 20th release of their upcoming 7th studio album, Major / Minor available  by offering up a free download of the album’s first track, “Yellow Belly.”  The band has also announced their tour dates.

The Airbourne Toxic Event Announce World Tour Dates! Play The Tonight Show On 9/30!

Los Angeles’ The Airborne Toxic Event announce dates for their world tour today. The tour finds the band playing shows in both the U.S. and Europe for the remainder of 2011 bringing their dynamic live act from Anchorage to Amsterdam. Their hometown show in Los Angeles will be in front of an audience of 6,000 at the Gibson Amphitheatre. The band have earned their reputation as an aggressive touring act, known for playing more than 350 dates in support of their 2008 debut album release, supporting Kings of Leon, Franz Ferdinand, and many others. In addition to the live show, the band will be performing on NBC’s The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Friday, September 30th. Eve to Adam Release "Run Your Mouth" Video Shoot Behind The Scenes

 

Queens, New York hard rockers Eve to Adam are taking fans behind the scenes of the video shoot for their new single “Run Your Mouth,” the a brand new webisode. In the piece the band talks about working with the star studded video cast which includes Dan Florek (Law and Order: SVU), Vincent Pastore (The Sopranos), and Chuck Zito (Oz), who all took time out of their schedules to head to a warehouse in Brooklyn for the video shoot. Additionally, fans can see the band performing live, no lip-syncing, for the performance piece of the video as well as hear the band compare this video to their previous releases.
