(PCM) Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of the late Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, is finally breaking her silence in regards to her father’s death and has given quite a revealing interview to Rolling Stone magazine in support of the upcoming HBO documentary “Kurt Cobain: Montage Of Heck” on which she serves as an executive producer.
Surprisingly in the interview, Frances says with a laugh “I don’t really like Nirvana that much. Sorry, promotional people, Universal. I’m more into Mercury Rev, Oasis, Brian Jonestown Massacre ..etc” Frances does however admit that “Territorial Pissings” off Nirvana’s hit album “Nevermind” is a “great song” and that she sheds tears while listening to “Dumb” off the album “In Utero” because she feels it is a “stripped-down version of Kurt’s perception of himself”.
“Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck” is the first documentary that has been made about Cobain’s life that has the full cooperation of his family. It will air on HBO on May 4th and will tell the story of Cobain’s life using home movies, artwork, photography, journals, demos, personal archives, family archives and songbooks.
