Garth Brooks Talks ACM Awards And 2015 World Tour

(PCM) Our sister publication caught up with legendary country artist Garth Brooks for a one on one chat about his recent ACM honor, his 2015 World Tour and more!

In the wake of being honored with the Milestone Award at the 50th Annual ACM Awards, country music icon Garth Brooks is right back in the groove. Garth is gearing up for a series of six shows at the Bryce Jordan Center in State College, PA. It will be Garth’s first appearance in the area in 18 years.


Brooks released his much-anticipated new album Man Against Machine last November. Ignited by the hit single “People Loving People,” the disc was quickly certified platinum by the RIAA. The album’s current single “Mom” is dominating country radio and making a serious impact on social media. The new album is Garth’s ninth studio effort, and he’s expected to release another LP later this year. Brooks is currently trekking across the U.S. as part of his 2015 World Tour, playing several shows at each stop. Garth is set to appear on ABC’s Good Morning America on Friday, May 8 for a special Mother’s Day surprise.

Garth Brooks is the #1-selling solo artist in U.S. history, and one of the greatest country music artists of all time. A true music icon, Garth has sold over 150 million records worldwide throughout his career. He’s been nominated for 12 Grammy Awards, winning two of them. He’s won 16 Billboard Music Awards, as well as the Billboard Music Artist Achievement Award in 1997. He’s also garnered 12 American Music Awards, nine CMA Awards, 22 ACM Awards, among many other honors.
