About The Awesome Fest:
The Awesome Fest was created in 2010 by promoter Josh Goldbloom as a scrappy DIY community project designed to showcase innovative and cutting edge independent cinema in unique and non-traditional spaces throughout the City of Philadelphia.

Since then, the annual summer outdoor film & music festival has featured well over 250 screenings, concerts, stand-up comics, and art installations, completely FREE to all who attend. Most recently, The Awesome Fest built Center City Philadelphia’s first ever drive-in movie theater, produced the Bruce Campbell Horror Film Festival in Chicago (now in its third year!), launched a 10 week celebration of the 1980’s, hosted an all night horror movie marathon outdoors in the woods at a summer camp, and presented Philly’s largest pizza party ever with Macaulay Culkin’s THE PIZZA UNDERGROUND to a crowd of nearly 10,000 people! There was also that time we attempted to launch a piece of bacon into outer space. We’ll save that story for another time…
