Kanye West Reignites His Feud With Taylor Swift Over Controversial Song Lyric

(PCM) Kanye West just unveiled his new album “Life Of Pablo” during a kick-off event for New York Fashion Week held at Madison Square Garden. The album made its’ debut during the Yeezy Season 3 show, as West played tracks from the album during the runway show. However, with it being Kanye West, there is no surprise that there had to be a bit of controversy thrown into the mix.

It appears that West may have reignited his infamous feud with Taylor Swift with a lyric in the song “Famous” to which he raps that he and Taylor probably should have sex because he “made that b**ch famous”.  After receiving quite a bit of backlash online after the track was released, West claims that he spoke with Taylor about both the song and the lyric and she was well aware of the joke and gave her blessing.  West tweeted, “I did not diss Taylor and I’ve never dissed her …”.  He claims she found the lyric funny.

However, according to Taylor’s publicist Tree Paine Taylor never gave her approval on the track and said in the following statement, “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric.”

West went on to defend using the word b**ch in the song claiming that it is an endearing term for women in the hip-hop community. Taylor’s friends and fans have already begun to come to her defense via social media and even her brother Austin posted a video on Instagram of him throwing his Yeezy shoes in the garbage can.
